This document ("Terms of Use") is an important legal document which creates important rights and obligations upon you, as well as APEC. You must carefully read this document.
Is your access to StatsAPEC for your own personal purposes, or is your access on behalf of someone else, such as your employer?
If your access to StatsAPEC is for your own personal purposes, then by using this website and its resources, you acknowledge that you have read, fully understood, and accepted this Terms of Use.
If your access to StatsAPEC is on behalf of your employer, and you have authority from your employer to enter into this Terms of Use, then by using this website and its resources, you acknowledge that you have read, fully understood, and accepted this Terms of Use.
However, if your access to StatsAPEC is on behalf of your employer, but you do not have authority to enter into this Terms of Use, or you are unsure whether you do, then you must arrange for a person with authority to do so instead before using this website and its resources.
If your access to StatsAPEC is on behalf of another person or organisation, then you must arrange for an authorised representative of that person or organisation to do so instead.
Who is "you"?
In the remaining terms and conditions:
1. If "you" are using this website and its resources on behalf of an employer or another organisation, "you" means that employer or other organisation, and the person warrants and represents to APEC that the person has authority to enter into this Terms of Use, and that doing so does not exceed the person’s express or actual authority to bind the employer or the other organisation, and
2. If "you" are using this website and its resources on your own behalf, "you" means the person that uses this website and its resources.
Grant of Licenses
APEC grants to you a non exclusive license to access StatsAPEC.
APEC also grants to you a non exclusive license to use and reproduce the economic indicators ("the Data") that you download from StatsAPEC for your own purposes, including reproducing the Data in any analytical reports that you generate, and including other means of representing or communicating the Data, such as in tables, graphs and charts. This license is perpetual, and worldwide, but subject to the further conditions below.
Copyright
APEC does not own the Data, but APEC has licenses in place from the owners of the Data upon terms that enable APEC to grant on-licenses to you, upon the terms of this Terms of Use, including the restrictions below.
There are various owners of different parts of the Data.
Things you may do
You may include the Data in your own analytical reports that you generate.
You may save the Data on a computer or other storage device or mechanism.
Things you must not do
While you can reproduce the Data in your own analytical reports that you generate, you must not republish the Data with the Data being of itself the "end product". Any republication of the Data as the "end product" will need a separate license from the original provider of the Data to APEC, without which that owner’s copyright will be infringed by you.
You must not grant sub-licenses to other persons in relation to the Data.
You must not assign this Terms of Use to another person. This Terms of Use is personal to you.
Termination
If you breach any of the terms of this Terms of Use, APEC can terminate this Terms of Use by written notice to you.
No liability
APEC makes no warranties whatsoever with respect to the Data or StatsAPEC. Specifically, APEC excludes any warranty that the Data or StatsAPEC are accurate or complete, fit for your purpose, or any purpose, merchantable, or that they are suitable for you or the uses for them that you may have or intend. You release APEC and its employees from any liability or any loss or damage whatsoever to you arising from your use of the Data or StatsAPEC. Specifically, you release APEC and its employees from any liability for any financial or consequential loss arising from your use of the Data or StatsAPEC.
Governing Law
This Terms of Use is made and entered into and subject to the laws of the Republic of Singapore.
